Insurance Coverage Rules and Conditions
Covered Carriers: DHL, FedEx, UPS, and the United States Postal Service (USPS)*.
Maximum coverage: $2,500.00 per package. Coverage is based on $100.00 units, per package**
Shipping Carrier Liability: $100.00 per package***
* Shipments sent via the USPS must include one of the following services if valued under $249.99: Delivery Confirmation, Signature Confirmation, Certified Mail, Express Mail, or Registered Mail. If the package is valued at $249.99 and above, one of the following service must be used: Signature Confirmation, Certified Mail, Express Mail, or Registered Mail
** Shipments with a declared value of $249.99 and above must be sent with the carrier provided Signature REquired service (Shipments sent via FedEx must use the Direct Signature or Adult Signature Confirmation service).
*** This is the carrier limit of liability; the amount the carrier covers automatically. Shipments sent via DHL, FedEx, UPS, and the USPS Express Mail service are included.
Coverage provided for UPS, FedEx, and DHL does not extend to shipments sent via UPS Freight, UPS Mail Innovations, FedEx Freight, DHL Danzas, or DHL@Home. Coverage is provided for carriers listed above, only.
Exclusions:
The following is a list of exclusions this Certificate does not cover:
Accounts, bills, currency, evidence of debt, money, checks, money orders, COD payments, coins, securities, tickets, deeds, notes, gift cards, manuscripts, documents, bullion (gold, silver & other precious metals), gemstones (loose stones), furs, neon items, hazardous material (per UPS Hazardous Materials List), plasma televisions or monitors, LCD televisions or monitors, perishable cargo or similar property, eggs in the shell, ceramic slabs, marble slabs, granite slabs, slate slabs, stone slabs, grandfather clocks, grandmother clocks, stand-up clocks, automobiles, motorcycles, flowers, plants, seeds, guns, newsprint, tobacco, windows, plate glass, stained glass, float glass, model ships, model cars, model airplanes, and architecture models. *Collectible coins and antique guns (more than 100 years old) are NOT excluded.
Jewelry (includes necklaces, earrings, watches, rings, bracelets, broaches, etc) valued in excess of $2,500.00 per parcel, $25,000.00 per shipment (Per Conveyance Limit of Liability). Cell phones in excess of $2,500.00 per shipment (Per Conveyance Limit of Liability).
