The Rolex GMT Rolex Submariner and the fall in the professional line of watches. While the GMT is for flyers, Submariner was the first watch in the world designed for diving. Both were introduced in 1954 at the Basel Fair.
Similarities between the Rolex and the Rolex Submariner GMT

Rolex created these two models to meet different business needs. Some of the main aspects of clock models differ from each other are explained below:
1. The Rolex Submariner has a unidirectional rotating bezel compared to Bi-directional bezel GMT Rolex watches. The functionality of the bezel is different in both models. The unidirectional bezel on the Rolex Submariner is designed to help a diver as time elapsed during the dive. Before a diver enters the water, you need the bezel to the triangle points recorded at bevel needle position the current minute. This will start counting the minutes while the diver decreases. Similarly, to restore the position of the triangle again, you can set the pace of its rise as well. Thus, measuring the elapsed time bezel guarantees the safety of the diver.? On the other hand, the bidirectional bezel Rolex GMT helps the user to read the time on two different time zones simultaneously. Divided into two equal parts, representing the time 6:00 to 18:00 hours day and night represents 18:00 to 6:00. The manuals in 24 hours is used to display the 24 hours on the bezel. The clock has a separate schedule that can be set at a different time zone without adjusting the 24-hour hand and bezel. Moreover, the "one hour" feature lets you skip the needle of hours to go one hour at a time without affecting the minute hand or seconds. This feature is not present in the Submariner models.
2. The current Rolex GMT Models are rated water depth of 330 meters, while the Submariner models have a water depth of 300 meters or 1000 feet.
3. All existing models sport a Rolex GMT ceramic bezel, unlike the Submariner models.
4. Jewelry Rolex GMT Models currently available offer many options such as dial-incorporated diamond-paved bezel fitted with diamonds, sapphires and rubies and diamonds, including fittings footings. Such options are not available gems in the Submariner models.
