Oxnard Ideal base for visiting Ventura County
The name "Oxnard" does not really leave the language as Catalina, La Jolla and Coronado, but the city called Oxnard not claim some of the broader been open, accessible beaches and a wealth of nearby attractions that make it definitely worth considered as a base for your next getaway to the beach in the Golden State.

After checking the nearby attractions, we spent a little time with sunbathing by the pool at the Courtyard Marriott Oxnard Ventura, a hotel with all amenities that appeal to leisure travelers and businesses. Our king suite, with two rooms large, gave us plenty of room to stretch and was especially convenient for us because we were to combine business with pleasure – a nine-year age could not wait to turn the explosion of a Disney movie fills and a father who had business to conduct, while on the road. Currently the film is still at the ranch, but is also available as a playground where you can take hiking or just go to the child prodigies in a big stage Santa Monica Mountains. The centerpiece of the ranch is the western city that you can walk through and imagine what it is when being filmed a western with all the actors in costume, livestock and extras.
If you plan ahead, you can use Oxnard as its jumping off point for a trip to National Park Channel Islands – or half day trips are offered. These islands are great near the coast, visitors will find they are completely isolated after the boat leaves for a camping trip in one of the islands.
If you want to go out into the water, kayaks, pedal boats and motor boats are available for rent in the port of the Channel Islands. During winter and early spring can take whale watching trips out of the port and you can go fishing or enjoy dolphin and other life at any time of year.
Wine lovers will enjoy the Wine Route Ventura County, a progression of several different warehouses, are relatively close and a map for visitors to follow.
Half-hour drive east of Oxnard and find the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, which made a point to visit in Simi Valley. The library has a fascinating collection of artifacts, photographs and documents that help us learn more about our former president.
The most spectacular display in the library is that the Air Force One, the plane used to fly Reagan in his historic voyages around the world.
