The headlights on scale models?
Any advice on how to exercise or milling the molded plastic headlights so they can be replaced by MV lenses real future? It seems impossible without the bit of drag or melting the plastic. We're talking 1 / 35 scale here. It's a lens in a double 3mm M113 model vehicle. I'm using a hobby drill, but not have a speed control.
On my M113, M1A1 tanks and other equipment, I have always used a pin-hole about putting on a pilot hole and then used a curve or an X-Acto blade sharpening and little to my Dremel tool. Anyway, the key is to go very slowly. Then clean with fine sandpaper in a QTIP, then polishing compound in a QTIP. Bare-I then use the sheet metal to create a bright searchlight of truth, and anyone using lenses MV or create micro-scale lens Krystal Klear. GOOD LUCK
