Imagine floating a retirement home that includes accommodation for two with ocean views, all meals, co-ownership in a transept, a membership to a Golf and Country Club, Bahamas Cruising monthly and annual cruise in the Caribbean. Sound too good to be true?

Now offering International Waterfront Lifestyles, this is the last concept for older people in Florida. The retirement community is a luxury cruise ship, with dining, cocktail lounges, disco, library / Internet cafe, spa, gym, cigar bar, shops, medical center, terrace, hot tub, casino and yew. The ship is at Cape Canaveral with proximity to Orlando and famous central Florida attractions including Disney World, Sea World, Universal Studios and space launches.

The residents actually own a share 1/100th of the ship which includes cabin for two, meals and use of ship's equipment. Similar to a condominium, they pay a maintenance fee proportional to size and the cost of your cabin (range of 125-330 square meters).

This fee goes towards the running costs of the ship. Since there are buying real estate, to sale not subject to property taxes, or closing fees. The members are really a Homeowners Association to make decisions about maintenance of the spacecraft and monitor monthly fluctuations of the rates. The ship is now called "Joy", but the HOA will have the last word on his behalf. Non-profit shops, bars, casino and spa maintenance back in the fund to subsidize the operating budget.

Services ship include:

– 12 cabins available for stays free for friends and family (includes meals)

– Casino cashless for recreation when the boat is anchored, but increases to real casino, when at sea.

– Access to ships laundry

– All rooms are exterior with large windows units

– Cruise to the Bahamas monthly and annual cruises in the Caribbean

– Storage facilities

Costs range from about $ 2,500 to $ 5,500 per month for two, including meals and weekly maid service. In fact, quite reasonable, considering the cost of a retirement home is generally much higher for one person. An average house the elderly can be between $ 1,000 and $ 3,000 a month for one person, or $ 6,000 to $ 8,000 for the luxury facilities.

Investors can even put off buying until retirement, and for rent in the meantime. Residents are also allowed to rent their cabins, but only for a minimum of one year rental.

After seeing the brochure, if you're still interested, leave a refundable deposit of $ 10,000 to keep the cabin that interests you, and you can board the boat and see the facilities firsthand. If not what are looking for, the deposit is fully refundable.
